The most common problems facing adolescents are those related to mental health (depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia), risky behaviors, both in sexual behavior, as consumption of illicit substances, alcohol, tobacco, and sedentary lifestyle, this affects significantly such as drug addiction, violence, pregnancy, school dropouts, among others. Main objectives: -Reduce pregnancies in adolescence. Teenage Suicide: The overall mortality rate in adolescents aged 10 to 19 years in 2008 was 4 per 10,000 in both sexes, accidents, homicide and suicide mortality has been increasing in recent years which represents 60% of the deaths and most corresponds to men. The most important cause of death is suicide, where it has increased tremendously the suicides of 10-14 years. The rate of suicide in the year 2000 was 1 per 100,000 inhabitants, the 2005 this rate increase to a 2.6 per 100,000 (25 men and 14 women), in the case of adolescents aged 15 to 19 years the rate of suicide in 1997 was 5.4 per 100,000 (67 cases), in the 2000 increase importantly and maintains stable during 2005. Mental illness is one of the most important factors that predispose to suicidal behaviour, family history also predispose one increased risk (4 times greater). Strategies: MINSAL established agreements with FONASA and CONACE to increase and improve attention to adolescent and young population. Coverage and quality of supply for treatment people with harmful use and dependence on drugs and alcohol, treatment aimed at mothers with small children in situation of risk.
